1.           International Summer University (ISU)

Osnabrück Campus, July 11 – August 2, 2024

Course offer:

  • Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability (undergraduate)
  • Marketing: Understanding of Consumers and Markets (undergraduate/graduate)
  • Organisational Culture and Behaviour (undergraduate)
  • Process Improvement (undergraduate)
  • Global Healthcare Management (graduate)
  • Clinical Perspectives in Physiotherapy (undergraduate)
  • Applied AI for Non-Programmers (undergraduate)
  • The Composite Materials (undergraduate/graduate)

Students choose one course, which is then combined with classes on German language, Intercultural Competence, Facts about Germany and Osnabrück as well as city trips, company visits and cultural activities.

Students meet participants from a variety of countries and study in an intercultural environment. The subjects are taught by academics from Osnabrück and its international partner universities with plenty of professional experience.

Upon successful participation students receive a certificate of attendance and 5 ECTS credit points. The program is taught in English.

2.           Summer University Lingen (SUL)

Lingen Campus, July 7 until July 20, 2024

It is open to undergraduate and graduate students of any degree course (but especially interesting for those studying business or related subjects).

Duringthe SUL, German and international students will work on the topic of “International German SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) – Sustainability in Business and Technology”.  Lingen Campus is a fantastic place for a summer abroad because we put theory into practice:

  • close cooperation with companies and organizations in the region
  • several company visits
  • teaching and learning is very practice-oriented
  • small study groups
  • modern learning environment with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment
  • safe city with very welcoming and open-minded people

Through our collaborations with companies in the region of Lingen, students will visit several international operating companies to gain insight into the regional, international and global procedures of companies in Germany, the city of Lingen and its surrounding area. A great way to network with future employers!

In addition, many activities such as a weekend trip to Berlin and trips to neighboring cities such as Münster, Osnabrück or Bremen enable participants to get to know each other, learn more about our region and Germany. By attending the program, students will improve soft skills such as communication and presentations skill, teamwork with international groups, intercultural skills and critical thinking.

Applications can be submitted until May 1, 2024. The program fee is 1,200 Euro.

INSA-ENSAI French Summer School 2024 – Registration before March 15th!

On-site accommodation: possibilities of housing (single room or studio upon availability) from 309€ to 504€ for one month
Possibility to choose a private residence near the campus.
Meal pass for the students’ restaurant : about 3,30€ per meal

French language classes are taught by professionally trained and certified «French as a Foreign Language» teachers. They are dedicated to students with a level of beginner or intermediate (from A1 to B1).
The program entitles to 6 ECTS credits.

2024 Summer Short Courses at the University of Leicester

2024 summer short courses offered by the Centre for International Training and Education for both students and academic staff.

International Summer Programmes

This year, we are offering four International Summer Programmes in August, including a new option, English for Business. All are designed to improve general and academic English skills as well as give students a taste of life at a British university.

English for Business International Summer Programme – this is aimed at business students who would like to improve their English for use in a business context whilst being introduced to a range of business topics in a lecture series.

English for Humanities International Summer Programme – this is ideal for students who wish to improve their academic and general English while learning about British theatre, literature and film.

English for Medics International Summer Programme – this longstanding course is for medical students who wish to improve their English in a medical setting, as well as find out about contemporary health and medical topics in the UK.

Leicester Discovery International Summer Programme – Discovery is ideal for students who wish to improve their language skills through a range of activities encouraging the use of spoken English, in addition to daily English classes.

Teacher Development Programmes

Our two week TDPs are aimed at experienced teachers who wish to continue their professional development in a UK university setting.

EAP Teacher Development Programme – EAP TDP is designed for experienced English teachers who wish to learn more about the features of English for Academic Purposes and its teaching. The Rachel Abounouar Scholarship is open for applications.

EMI Teacher Development Programme – EMI TDP is aimed at developing the teaching skills of academic staff who are teaching or intending to teach their subject in English.

Aalto Science Institute international summer research (internship) programme 2024

UTokyo – Engineering Summer Program (ESEP-G2023)

8. Special conditions regarding COVID-19

1) The in-person program will be cancelled if Japan’s travel restrictions and quarantine measures due to the influence of COVID-19 are in effect as of March 1st, 2023. There will be no postponement nor re-opening.

2) Only those laboratories offering both in-person and online courses will allow students to switch from in-person courses to online courses upon confirming their intentions. Please refer to our website for more details.
