The Lucerne School of Computer Science & Information Technology is setting up its third Summer School focusing on Designing Serious Games.
The Summer School will take place from Monday, 5 September to Friday, 9 September 2022. If possible, the Summer School will be held on Campus in Rotkreuz, Switzerland.
Guest speakers: – Dr Caspar Harteveld of the Northeastern University (Boston), Michèle Müller and Céline Neubig from Enigma, Immersive Games & Exhibitions and Prof. Dr. Peter Gautschifrom the University of Teacher Education Lucerne.
Profile students: undergraduate students in the area of Game Development, Game Design, IT, Computer Science or similar subjects.
Cost: There are no tuition fees for students of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and students from partner universities. International students pay for their own travel, accommodation and meals.

Esta feria virtual permitirá a estudiantes conocer de primera mano las diversas oportunidades que ofrecen las universidades estadounidenses en el área de STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), hablar directamente con representantes de admisiones internacionales y participar en sesiones informativas de asesoramiento académico sobre estudios de grado y de postgrado en EE.UU. Contarán con más de cincuenta universidades y community colleges, así como con la presencia de la Comisión Fulbright para Becas de Postgrado.

Aalto University’s Information Technology Program – ITP for short – is a 24 credit summer minor program, where international and multidisclipinary student teams get to solve real digital business challenges that real companies are facing. The business project is accompanied by supporting studies in business, design and technology, depending on the student’s chosen specialization track. In addition to studying, ITP organizes fun student events throughout the summer. Teaching will be held on our Otaniemi campus here in Finland during 30.5.-2.9.2022.

¿De qué trata el curso?
Relaciones de poder – Relaciones sociedad-naturaleza – Teoría crítica – Fusión de artes y ciencias – Investigar para intervenir con soluciones – Democratización – Transformación social y ecológica
Los participantes amplían su comprensión de la sostenibilidad, especialmente en lo que respecta a aspectos sociales como las relaciones de poder, así como las relaciones sociedad-naturaleza y la ecología política. Durante el curso, los participantes trabajan en desafíos sociales desde diferentes perspectivas interdisciplinares y artísticas y llevan a cabo ejercicios prácticos.
Competencias que se adquieren: Analizar y Democratizar las Relaciones Recíprocas de Tecnología – Naturaleza – Individuos – Sociedad (TINS-D)
Desarrollo y calendario
El curso consiste en 120 horas de trabajo, divididas de la siguiente manera:
Parte virtual(5 de abril al 2 de junio 2022)
16 reuniones online de 120 minutos a través de ZOOM, martes y jueves 14:00 a 16:00 (no hay clase el 24 ni 26 de mayo, por ser festivos en Alemania).
Parte presencialen Berlín (25 al 29 julio 2022)
Los equipos de estudiantes se reúnen en la TU Berlin y colaboran en modo presencial para terminar su trabajo.
¿A quién está dirigido?
Estudiantes de la UPV de cualquier nivel, incluido doctorado, y de cualquier área de estudio o disciplina.
Quedan excluidos aquellos estudiantes que han realizado o están realizando una movilidad Erasmus estudios de larga duración durante el curso 2021-22 (1er semestre, 2º semestre o curso completo) en cualquier país.
30 marzo-máximo 3 abril: el profesor responsable en la TU Berlin seleccionara máximo 10 participantes de la UPV, buscando un equilibrio entre los participantes de todas las universidades (diferentes niveles académicos y áreas de estudio) La UPV no interviene en esta selección.
Entre el 31 de marzo y el 3 de abril, el profesor responsable de la TU Berlin contactará con los estudiantes seleccionados para confirmarles su participación en este programa intensivo.
Si deseas llevar a cabo un proyecto de investigación en Alemania de 1 a 6 meses, solicita las DAAD-Becas de investigación de corta duración. Estas becas están dirigidas principalmente a estudiantes de doctorado que quieran realizar su estancia entre el 1 de agosto de 2022 y el 15 de enero de 2023. Queremos informarte de un proyecto que puede ayudarte a aprender o practicar lenguas extranjeras y a desarrollar competencias de comunicación intercultural, de forma gratuita y sin moverte de casa. Se trata de una iniciativa de ”internacionalización en casa” de la UPV.
Desde 2020 UPV forma parte de una alianza de 7 universidades europeas llamada ENHANCE University Alliance. Este consorcio está desarrollando una especie de “supercampus” y trabajando en muchos proyectos: titulaciones más integradas, más facilitad para la movilidad, investigar e innovar juntos para solucionar problemas y retos medioambientales, urbanos, sociales….
ENHANCE ha creado un proyecto de tándems lingüísticos, que te ofrece la posibilidad de conectar online con estudiantes y personal matriculados en otras universidades de la red ENHANCE para hacer intercambios de conversación con hablantes nativos (o con nivel avanzado).
La próxima semana (jueves 27 enero, 12:00 ) se ha organizado un kick-off meeting (charla de lanzamiento) para la comunidad UPV, que servirá para dar a conocer el proyecto y para resolver cualquier duda. Te invitamos a registrarte a la charla de para conocer el proyecto.

ABOUT THE LANGUAGE TANDEM PROJECT
The Language Tandems within the ENHANCE Alliance is a project for students, doctoral candidates, academic and administrative staff that aims to enhance language learning via a language exchange method and enables participants to make new contacts within the ENHANCE community.
The participants of the Language Tandem project can learn the following six languages: German, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Norwegian, Polish and many others ( English, French, Chinese, Korean, Turkish etc.)
BENENEFITS FROM THE PARTICIPATION IN THE LANGUAGE TANDEM PROJECT
• Developing communication skills 1 on 1 with a native speaker. • Developing listening skills and expanding vocabulary and grammar knowledge. • Getting to know up-to-date ICT tools for language learning. • Becoming a member of an international learning community. • Making new contacts within the ENHANCE community. • Exchanging knowledge and experience connected with studying in different countries. • Getting prepared for an exchange within the ENHANCE Alliance. • Starting new projects within the ENHANCE Alliance. • Having an academic record including participation in the Language Tandems project. • Developing intercultural competence.
This event will be held mostly in French, but it will still feature sections adapted to international visitors and that will certainly be of interest to students: virtual tours of our campus and the 9 engineering departments, an «Exchange students» web page with videos in English, Discord® chat rooms… It is also a good opportunity for those who have already expressed their wish to come to INSA Lyon in 2022, to immerse themselves in their future environment and to know us better.
